QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Leading international manufacturer of wind turbines worldwide, present in several countries across the world seeks qualified Wind & Site Engineer within the development of its activities in Istanbul to fill the following position in daily operations in;
Essential Experience, Skills and Qualifications :
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Atmospheric Science preferred or Masters degree in other technical field
- Knowledge of WasP, WindPro is a must,
- CFD hands-on experience would be a plus,
- Windographer knowledge would be a plus,
- Good knowledge of both written and spoken English, knowledge of German language is an advantage,
- Detail orientated with ability to comprehend a global problem to answer it with, appropriate methods and summarize it in clear results,
- Ready to work in a dynamic and fast developing atmosphere,
- Willing to travel on a regular basis.
Responsibilities :
- Evaluate wind measurement campaigns (type of equipment, localization, subcontractors etc.) in order to evaluate wind resource and reduce uncertainty on analysis at optimized costs,
- Analyze wind and meteorological data,
- Conduct wind flow modeling studies with appropriate software (Wasp, WindPro etc.),
- Calculate wind energy projects with WindPro for assessment of site specific parameters,
- Implementation of the Nordex standards into the wind flow simulations,
- Produce long term wind and net production reports and statistical uncertainty analysis (P50, P90, P99 etc.),
- Support the project developers` yes in the definition of optimal turbine layouts,
- Perform site suitability analysis and reports in accordance with the standards set by Nordex in order to define the class of wind sites and determine the most adequate turbine model.
