QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Wyser is the international company within Gi Group in charge of searching for and selecting specialized middle and senior management.
We are looking for a "Oracle Database Administrator'' for our global client which is providing payment technologies solutions.
About Your Role:
· Operate and maintain development, test, production and DRC Oracle Single Instance, RAC and Exadata Machine Databases
· Ensure security levels across all databases through configuration and regular patch management of databases
· Monitor, upgrade and patch all databases
· Analyze and optimize performance of databases, eliminate bottlenecks, plan for capacity upgrades
· Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
· Cover Data Center on-site operations when needed
About You:
· 4+ years database administration experience.
· Perform database installation, administration, solve database problems and ensure database security.
· PL/SQL knowledge for database management issues.
· Tune and optimize SQL queries to eliminate SQL Performance issues.
· Provide support for development teams to eliminate SQL performance issues when needed.
· Recommend solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, database backup and recovery specifications.
· Ensure database performance tuning and optimization by calculating optimum values for database parameters, implementing new releases, completing maintenance requirements, evaluating operating systems and hardware requirements.
· Knowledge of database backup technologies such as Veritas NetBackup, Arcserve etc.
· OEL/RedHat/CentOS operating systems knowledge in level that can manage the databases.
· Storage technologies (NetApp/Sun ZFS/EMC) knowledge.
· Provide support to System Administrator to determine server and storage hardware for new projects.
· Provide documentation and capacity management reports and database related information when requested.
· Cassandra knowledge is plus.
· PostgreSQL knowledge is plus.
· MSSQL knowledge is plus.
