QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose

  • Responsible for demand planning process of trade finished goods for Turkey Market for Pfizer Biopharmaceutical Group (PBG) by assuring supply of all products sold in the local market supporting Pfizer’s local business strategies, objectives and customers’ satisfaction targets, and by developing and implementing required solutions in alignment with Global Supply Chain (GSC) functions in a compliant and cost efficient manner.
  • Accountable to ensure that the short, medium to long term sales operations, logistics and demand/supply objectives are achieved.
  • The incumbent should propose and spearhead key projects/strategies to achieve operational excellence in all demand & supply operations.
  • As part of the team accountable for department objectives to achieve company objectives. This position secures well coordination for the function between different parties i.e. Business Unit colleagues, Above Market Planning (AMP) Hub, Regional Supply Chain, Logistics Service Providers (LSP), Regulatory, Affiliate Quality Operations (AQO), Finance, Health & Value team, PGS Intercompany Operations (European Logistics Center - ELC).
  • Support the GSC Demand Planning Lead in the operational business (key accountabilities) and participate in regular meetings


Key Accountability

Demand Planning & Forecasting:

  • Ensure robust demand planning processes (Finished Goods and Samples) are in place with monthly brand forecast reviews with cross functional participation of sales, marketing and finance
  • Liaise with regulatory and marketing team on new product launches and updates made to existing forecast accordingly
  • Forecast Reconciliation for budgeting and forecasting purposes
  • Repackaging / Relabeling: make sure all activities done on time at the distribution center
  • Ensure data integrity within and throughout the entire SC System (e.g. SAP ECC, APO, SCIM, etc.) including regular weekly, monthly controls.
  • Continuously develop APO DP Statistical forecasting


Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP):

  • Embed a monthly S&OP process and conduct meeting with cross functional participation from Business Units, Regulatory and Finance with the objective of improving supply chain metrics and meeting financial targets
  • Ensure a robust AMP-to-Market S&OP process, i.e. alignment with the AMP team and ELC (Intercompany Operations)
  • Follow up action items and escalate to regional S&OP team as required
  • Preparation of Logistics and Supply Chain Reports, Mitigation Control Reports (Segregation of Duty, SOX)


Supply and Inventory Planning:

  • Manage relations with AMP Hub colleagues, proactively improve quality of cooperation and information exchange processes
  • Proactively follow up global, regional or local supply issues to be aware of timely resolution by AMP and Regional Supply Chain and to be able to manage proper communication with all stakeholders
  • Ensure accurate Inventory visibility at the Distribution center (LSP)
  • Slow-moving & Obsolete reports: ensure effective inventory management with MOH (months on hand), aging by different shelf lives and write-off reports
  • Timely and accurate management of product destruction


Product Change Management:

  • Responsible for the planning and coordination of sourcing changes, new product launches, loss of exclusivities, artwork changes and registration timelines with supply points, regulatory, sales and marketing departments
  • Ensure timely product supply aligned with registrations and regulatory changes
  • Ensure proper systems and control processes are in place to manage product change management (e.g. SOP and/or Work Instruction including Responsibility Matrix and Process Flow Chart)


Operational Excellence:

  • Support and implement Market Excellence and Supply Model Transformation initiatives with close collaboration with regional and global GSC teams to achieve target level for each capability.
  • Monitor and achieve efficient operations by assuring proper system interfaces between Pfizer, LSP, and any other required parties (interface checks)
  • Responsible for process improvement and efficiency
  • Ensure proper internal control environment in line with legal and corporate guidance: regular updates local SOPs, training, reporting, master data management, mitigating controls as relevant; ensure support for controls and for internal and external audits in the Demand/Inventory area
  • Ensure development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of relevant performance metrics (KPIs) in compliance with established Pfizer Global Supply Chain guidelines.
  • Monitor accuracy and completeness of supply chain systems and arrange for corrective action where applicable.
  • Works with other local and regional logistics/supply colleagues and the LSPs to maintain appropriate focus on continuous improvement of the operations with the development and implementation of new strategies, projects and initiatives.

Experience and Knowledge:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Life Sciences
  • Experience in similar roles is a plus
  • Preferable Project Management skills or certificate
  • Excellent language skills: fluent both written and verbally in English
  • IT and analytical skills (MS-Office, MS Project, SAP)
