Döhler Turkey is looking for a "Freight Buyer" to be employed in our Istanbul Maltepe Office with following qualifications;
Qualifications:
- University degree in Engineering (Preferably in Industrial & Chemical) ) or Business Administration
- 4 years of experience in logistics (Preferably Line or Forwarder Experience)
- Understanding of end-to-end supply chain
- Experience in contract logistic
- Good command of English
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications
- Experience in SAP System
- Ability to work towards tight deadlines, multitasking and prioritizing workload as appropriate
- Works independently.
- Self motivated, proactive and accountable.
Job Description:
- Develop a logistic Plan based External Sales Forecast and co-ordinate the logistic Plan commitments/deliverables with outsourced logistic firms to ensure secured supply according to Demand.
- Dialog with third party logistics service partners (carriers, customs brokers etc) ensures contractual obligations are met and collaboration is in place to meet performance targets.
- Supports procurement tender negotiation and implementation with operational expertise.
- Administers trade lane contracts where needed to maximize benefits to Dohler. (Facilitate vessel/cargo nominations, mitigate dead freight, mitigate demurrage, approve invoices, manage carriers and logistics service partners)
- Participates in advanced troubleshooting and coaches others to learn these skills. Implements best practices.
- Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
- Create operational KPIs and data driven modes to track performance of the third parties on real time basis.
