What you will be doing as Procurement Executive, direct materials/ Please submit your application in English
The core focus of the activity is to run local purchase requisitions according to defined strategies and frameworks.
This will be done through the following main activities:
- Verify purchase request quality and correct buying channel, align with end users on missing specification and assign (spot) buyers to work on purchase request execution
- Implement local, low value purchase requisitions
- Select a supplier according to the defined strategy in the category
- Process purchase order; follow-up
- Assign suppliers and convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders for contracted materials
- Be aware of purchase request processing guidelines for all categories to allow for flexible work allocation, especially as single areas mature and processing volumes go down.
- Act as the single point of contact for the direct materials Procurement function at a site
- Be a guide in understanding the buying portal content relevant for a particular site and ensure familiarity with relevant category instructions detailing buying procedures, preferred suppliers, for the site, in close collaboration with Category Managers and Content Maintainers
- Provide insights on local supplier market
- Supervise recurring spot buys to reduce the total amount of spot buys
The position is based in Istanbul. It will report to our Procurement Manager, located as well in Istanbul office, having 1 direct report, located in our Thrace Plant.
What do we expect?
- At least 6-7 year experience in a procurement role, preferably in FMCG area with at least 2 years in a management position
- University graduate preferred
- SAP knowledge- MM module
- Proficient in Turkish and English languages
- Computer usage: MS Office, SAP
- Practical tendering and supplier selection experience
- Independent handling of delivery, quality, pricing issues with suppliers
