The Profile We're Looking For

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Accounting / MBA Preferred / CPA Preferred
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years experience at Director/Leadership level responsibility
  • Minimum 8 – 10 years experience in leading finance organizations within automotive tier 1 manufacturing with demonstrated experiences in financial accounting, tax, treasury, controlling/cost accounting, and project/investment analysis
  • International experience preferred
  • Proven communication skills
  • Working knowledge of IFRS
  • Experience with German Accounting Practices is preferred
  • IT systems management
  • Experience in an SAP environment is preferred
  • Experience/training in lean manufacturing concepts is preferred
  • English fluent in writing and speaking & German beneficial
Position Details
  • The position is responsible for the direction of the company’s finance, accounting, controlling and information systems functions and for corporate governance
  • The job incumbent ensures that all financial statements are accurate and timely in accordance with IFRS and local requirements and compliance with group financial policies and procedures
  • Establish and maintain best practices and financial reporting, financial analysis, business planning and forecasting with the lowest total cost to the organization and work closely with operation managements and other functions with focus on reducing product costs, improving working capital management and maximizing cash flow
  • Responsible for internal control system and Code of Conduct compliance.
  • Leading and monitoring full SAP running and ensure all other financial related duties including treasury, banking, and tax
  • Contribute to the development of the overall company strategy
  • Develop and implement the Finance and Controlling strategy in agreement with the Executive Board in order to support the execution of the general business strategy of the company effectively
  • Define global finance and controlling guidelines and policies
  • Ensure efficient running and monitoring of the Shared Service Centre (SLA reporting and anylsis)
  • Assess new business opportunities
  • Drive for improvement of IT and BI landscape
  • Ensure definition and monitoring of accounting processes
  • Ensure the elaboration of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements in line with external requirements
  • Ensure the planning and steering of tax activities to optimise tax payments, elaborate legal tax statements
  • Ensure the planning and steering of long- and short-term liquidity in a cost-effective manner (including bank credits, outstanding customer’s payment, efficient cooperation with banks etc.) to optimise the available liquidity and minimise the corresponding costs
  • Ensure the preparation of the annual business plans including the budgeting process within the whole company
  • Steer and control the activities and initiate corrective actions if needed
  • Ensure development and implementation of appropriate Management Information Systems, KPI models and reports in order to provide all financial information needed for support of business decisions
  • Define appropriate standards of planning- and budgeting processes and steer/monitor their implementation
  • Monitor and control the achievement of financial objectives and defined KPIs and initiate corrective actions if necessary in cooperation with Regional Finance Heads and Managing Director
