We are looking for a Production Engineer reporting to Production Manager and working in Lubricants Supply Chain Facilities at Derince / Kocaeli.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with good command of Turkish and English.
- Engineering degree is a must, preferably graduated from Mechanical, Chemical and Industrial Engineering
- Advanced level in English
- Eager to learn Continuous Improvement technics and apply in day to day tasks
- Proficient in MS Office programs
- Strong planning and organizing skills, ability to work in a logical, systematic manner
- Have self-confidence and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving capabilities
- Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively
- HSSE & Quality/Environmental systems awareness is a plus
- Having SAP knowledge is a plus
- Completed military service for male candidates
- Available to live in Kocaeli
Position Definition :
The Production Engineer plays a supportive role in reaching the Production KPIs (HSSE, Quality, CI maturity level, OTIF, OEE, PSA, Margin Leakage (MCV), Stock accuracy, Flush, Overtime, etc…) in the plant, working closely with other Operation Supervisors (Blending, Grease, Filling teams) and Supply Chain departments (Planning, Maintenance, Quality, Logistics).
Acting as a role model for leveraging HSSE Culture within Production, being a bridge between Production and Maintenance for e-PTW process, ensuring Continuous Improvement (CI) activities are carried out effectively and last but not least following G-SAP transactions for proper goods movements are the most crucial aspects of this role.
Job Description :
- Perform on site safety engagements (WHM, SSW, etc..) within Production and engage with operators for their involvement to Safety Culture by speaking up and being mindful
- Perform site inspections to observe unsafe situations, keep records, define actions and follow the action closures
- Maintain Permit to Work (e-PTW) process by being a Permit Verifier (PV), Isolation Verifier (IV) and Isolation Owner (IO) of Maintenance activities within Production areas
- Support Production Unit Supervisors by following up periodical maintenance activities to complete on time and equipment returns to operation safely
- Ensure Management of Change (e-MoC) process is effectively maintained for all kind of changes (except project related changes)
- Work as a focal point for action tracking of Production units to ensure timely closure of high priority actions
- Work with Operation Supervisors in physical W2W Stock Count process which ensures a high stock accuracy level
- Manage physical label stock counts, flush oil stock counts and make entries to G-SAP
- Work with Operation Supervisors to timely finalize CI projects for more safe environment, waste elimination, cost saving, higher Quality standards and higher productivity
- Manage label master data with Global Label team, manage label room for 5S purpose
- Attend daily plant coordination meetings, update meeting log
- Analyse weak signals coming from KPI tracking, define the causes and prepare improvement plans
- To be back-up of each Production unit supervisors upon their absence
- To be back-up of Production Admin for G-SAP transactions upon his absence
- Support project preparations in terms of documentation
- Work as a superuser for G-SAP, follow G-SAP related error corrections, train new production staff against G-SAP usage
- Minimize Margin Leakage for Production related losses (write offs / downgraded products / flushing oils / stock variances)
- Closely follow-up of flush oil generation quantities from each section, organize sample taking of each, track proper movements of flush oil IBCs within plant
- Authority to stop production in case of any HSSE & Quality problems
