QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Definition
- Work with operators, team leaders and peers to develop and implement process, equipment, or safety improvements into manufacturing.
- Meet the day-to-day process support and related problem-solving needs of the department, while balancing the need for project success to move the department forward
- Process ownership, including the achievement process improvement and cost reduction targets through deep process understanding and rigorous data analysis.
- Support the transfer of new technology, materials, or processes from development to production. Including direct support of processing during product development
- Ensure all production and maintenance documentation are in place and current, including, SOP's, PM's, fixing guides and calibration.
- Leads and participates in improvement projects and effective problem analysis
- Supports projects and provides the guidance to all aspects of bringing new equipment into production, preparation of financial justification, designing, specifying, purchasing, achievement of established targets, required documentation, and tracking all spending related to the project.
- Leads, Co-Leads or supports attribute improvement projects, cost reduction projects or equipment upgrades.
- Supports product/process/equipment activities as a key partner and receiving, helping to ensure the success of the targeted effort, and seamlessly integrating into production.
- Act with urgency to close out assigned projects actions by required deadlines.
- Consistently and effectively communicates issues, concepts, and opportunities to partners.
- Conducts new product introductions through equipment installation, process certification, documentation (Works Standard Forms) and training
- Executes cost reduction and improvement (DMAIC) projects in line with business objectives.
- Assures safety of operators and equipment and follows safety and environmental regulations
- Continuous improvement of process and product quality.
- Analyze data to understand process capability and monitor process trends to drive continued manufacturing excellence
- No obstacle for travelling abroad
- Keen and enthusiast about hands on approach to process related problem
- Seek out information from subject matter experts in uncertain situations
Qualification
- B.S. or M.S. in Engineering (Mechanical Enginnering is preferred)
- Min 3+ years of manufacturing experience
- Advance level of English is a must.
- Track record of delivering results through project management
- Knowledge in a technical field
- Project Management including Cost Estimation, Project Planning, and Execution
- MS office knowledge is a must.
- Must have a desire to analyze and interpret data.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Work with minimal direction (can plan/organize their activities based on objectives).
- Ability to perform process audits.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in the use of DOE, SPC, Six Sigma, FMEA and other process control/ analysis techniques to recommend decisions based on thorough data analysis
- SAP knowledge is desirable.
- Strong communications, effectively intra-plant as well as across Division lines.
- Basic knowledge of Six Sigma (DMAIC) methodology.
- Can give and receive coaching to/from peers and technicians
