QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Graduated from relevant engineering departments of universities (Machine, Industrial, Chemical, Electric or Electronic Engineering),
    • English fluent, additional language is preferred,
    • Experience in Automotive and/or industrial components will be preferable,
    • Good knowledge of MS Office,
    • Travel availability,
    • Strong orientation to achieve targets, communication skills, commercial and technical negotiation skills, teamwork, analytical skills,
    • Responsible for estimating cost of buy parts involved in offer to customers, based on internal make or buy strategy,
    • Satisfy customer requirements and specifications,
    • Support to involvement of suppliers to perform feasibility studies and technical reviews with R&D,
    • Participate and propose cost improvement ideas during concept release,
    • Perform sourcing of components,
    • Track components of the bill of material to ensure the accomplishment of timing and cost of the project,
    • Track sourcing and status of means of production related to the project,
    • Propose and implement target cost/target profit initiatives to the new projects,
    • Define localization strategy, market analysis, supplier selection, suppliers risk evaluation, timing and quality accomplishment according to the needs of the project

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Project Purchasing Engineer, within in the project core team, is in charge of coordinating and ensuring the achievement of objectives for his/her function in accordance with the company targetss, through;

    • Interfacing and aligning with Key Stakeholders (project management, R&D, Quality, Finance and Operations),
    • Implementing the best practices,
    • Optimizing costs and ensuring quality and timing impacts,
    • Ensuring the commodity strategy,
    • Anticipating the specific requirements for new projects.
