QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Purpose
The purpose of this position is to develop the Quality Strategy, Quality Management System policies, processes, standards for the Weir Minerals NATCA.This position alsoleads and undertakes audits across all areas of the business andmonitors the implementation of quality improvement policies and procedures in the facilities.
1. Job Responsibilities
- Oversees effective implementation of the Quality Management System throughout the company across NATCA region, including any business accreditations
- Maintains the Quality Management Documentation System and ensures contents are appropriate for all legal entities.
- Contributes to policy, procedures, work instructions, projects and other initiatives, which support the strategic, quality and continuous improvement agenda of Weir Minerals
- Analyses current and future procedural needs of the business
- Contributes to development of internal audit system and coordinates the corrective action reporting system
- Conducts Quality Systems audits and assists in training/guidance to other auditors; doing all the necessary activities and internal audits to be prepared to customer and certification audits
- Hosts external Quality System audits
- Ensures preparation and compliance for second party and 3rd party audits
- Provides training on Quality Assurance issues and business processes to increase awareness about quality processes.
- Coordinates the review of Quality procedures associated with plant continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensures compliance with agreed processes and procedures across Weir Minerals NATCA
- Contributes to supplier development process
- Supports Lean studies across the Company
- Ensures that all staff are aware of quality assurance mechanisms and, where appropriate, deliver training and development sessions
- Ensures the implementation of the Company SHE Policy for the prevention of injury, damage or loss to Company personnel and resources
- Adheres to the risk assessment controls identified
- Not interferes or misuses any equipment supplied
- Maintains equipment supplied for carrying out work tasks including daily maintenance where appropriate
- Uses personal protective equipment supplied in accordance with site risk assessments and site rules
- Attends any suitable training to ensure that they are competent to perform their duties safely
- Complies with any rules specific to a particular site and any Companywide health, safety or environmental requirements
- Reports any injuries, unsafe acts or conditions to line managers
- Supports SHE Policy to help deliver cultural development and sustained continual improvement in EHS performance
2. Qualifications
- University degree from Engineering
- At least 5 years’ experience in Quality Assurance
- Knowledge and experience in ISO standards (9001,14001,45001)
- Knowledge and experience in problem solving methodologies (5 WHY, Fishbone Diag. etc.)
- To have experience in Lean philosophy (5S, Kaizen, etc.)
- To have internal auditor certificate for ISO 9001
- MS Office Skills
- Good Skills in English
- Good Team Player
