QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

General

  • Be present throughout service.
  • Adhere to all Six Senses guidelines.
  • Ensure all hosts behavior is correct and is of positive nature in all guest and staff areas.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of all facilities and services offered by the resort.
  • Attend regular meeting and briefing to keep informed of policies and procedures, special events, further improvement plans and guest comments.
  • Fully understand the team goals and objectives, ensuring that the maximum is done to achieve the targets.
  • Maintain at all times the highest standard of social skills.
  • Complete any other duty assigned by management.
  • Arrive on time in full uniform in accordance with the company grooming guideline.


Specific

  • Report on duty at the stipulated time and outlet in attire of full uniform, to be groomed of high nature without any strong lingering aftershaves or deodorants.
  • Ensure that the restaurants and bars are prepared for service at the designated times and that all pre service activities by restaurant management have been carried out.
  • Ensure the prompt and efficient service of meals and beverages set by the resorts required standards.
  • Lease with guests ascertaining their food and beverage requirements and coordinating their requests through the outlet.
  • Have a full knowledge of menus and specials of all outlets. To be able to recommended and up sell.
  • Have a good knowledge of the wine list and be able to recommended wine in absence of a sommelier.
  • Ensure all food and beverage hosts are correctly uniformed and are of high grooming. To ensure that all hosts provide courteous and professional service in a friendly manner at all times.
  • Make every effort to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of guest’s food and beverage requests throughout service.
  • Ensure you have a good knowledge to take order from any food and beverage outlet menus.
  • Ensure guest / room charges at points of sales are being managed.
  • Ensure the effective and efficient running services of all the outlets.
  • Provide training per month to subordinates and report the progress of their performance.
  • Ensure all hosts behavior is correct and that they are of full knowledge of the products they use and the service that is expected of them.
  • Prepare monthly reports relating to service, breakage, loss and inventories.
  • Follow venue revenue and cost targets of the venue and come up with suggestions to improve revenue and control costs.
  • Prepare and submit weekly efficient work schedules for the hosts in the venue and follow working hours to avoid unnecessary over time.
  • Control loss, abuse or breakage of all operating equipment and to ensure correct handling and storage of such items.
  • Conduct regular meetings with staff relating to maintaining and improving service, to introduce moral building exercises for Food & Beverage hosts.
  • Ensure that the standards for Food and Beverage are being followed and must lead by example.
  • Organize daily briefing in the restaurant before each meal period to brief the team on special request, VIP, out of stock, etc.
  • Follow opening and closing duties checklist.
