QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

GKN Fokker Elmo Turkey founded in 2007 in the Aegean Free Zone in Izmir, It's customer portfolio includes some of the leaders of the aerospace and defense industry.

GKN Fokker Elmo, acquired in 2015 by the UK based group GKN Aerospace, which is operative in aerospace in 51 sites. We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join the Procurement Department of our organization.

  • 4 year university degree in "Engineering”
  • Preferably have 2 years experience as supplier quality engineer in an automotive/aerospace manufacturing company
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English is a prerequisite
  • Knowledge of quality concepts and principles based on ISO9001/AS9100, including auditing (auditor training/certificate preferred)
  • Knowledge of quality tools like 8D, problem solving techniques
  • Good communication skills, analytical thinking, team working
  • No military obligations for male candidates
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings


İŞ TANIMI

The Supplier Quality Engineer will assist in maintaining a state-of-the-art quality management system, meeting or exceeding the requirements of aerospace standard ISO9001/AS9100. This includes quality assurance and control activities like auditing, inspection, problem analysis and improvements. Furthermore it entails the evaluation and maintenance of the quality system procedures, trouble shooting and performance monitoring.

  • Coordinating supplier corrective actions
  • Communicating to suppliers to solve quality issues
  • Supporting Incoming Inspection department
  • Performing product and "First Article” inspections when necessary
  • Conducting product, process, system and supplier audits
  • Issue, evaluation and follow-up of material non-conformance reports
  • Providing quality-related training
  • Generation, evaluation and implementation of (new) quality procedures and improvements
  • Quality performance monitoring and reporting, especially those related to materials/suppliers Customer program-related quality assurance activities like e.g. quality plan reviews, process/personnel certification, implementing customer requirements, handling customer complaints, etc.
  • Development and implementation of methods to monitor quality indicators and (key) characteristics, including SPC techniques
