QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Koç University Graduate School of Sicences & Engineering will be hiring an Administrative Assistant with the below mentioned qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields
  • At least 3 years professional experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Turkish and in English
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple demands
  • Advanced use of Microsoft applications (especially Word, Excel, PPT, etc.)
  • High energy level, self-starter
  • Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction
  • Open to continuous learning and development and can easily adapt to the use of internal operating systems (SAP, PeopleSoft and other programs)

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Programing and scheduling graduate program courses, aligning schedules of fulltime and parttime faculty members
  • Managing correspondences with faculty, students, staff, and all levels of administration
  • Collaborate with all offices including offices of the Registrar, Accounting, Human Resources, Library, Dormitory, IT, Financial Affairs for all student, faculty and program related issues
  • Providing office services and support by processing departmental work orders such as; student applications, travel arrangements, requisitions, purchasing office supplies, arranging seminars, workshops, ordering books,cases& reading materials and any other day-to-day operating needs of the office
  • Handling entries and assisting in the budgeting process
  • Handling students administrative and academic needs and affairs
  • Processing students monthly stipends, travel/training requests and expense claims and manage all other accounting related activities
  • Update databases and management of the website
  • Organizing meetings, generating the meeting agenda, preparing the meeting record regarding the decisions taken in meetings and sharing with relevant departments
  • Perform other relevant duties upon request (help preparing presentations and reports, etc.)
