QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Main duty of application administrator team is to maintain and administer mission critical Airport IT applications and relevant systems to ensure 7/24 availability. Resolves and fulfills incidents and requests escalated by different groups within the support organization and business users.
Responsibilities
- Provide service support to internal and external customers in accordance with the terms of the customer contract and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Ensure the correct functioning and maintenance of all internal and external, COTS and in-house applications/systems and products.
- Act as the customer Single Point of Contact (SPOC), when required, and co-ordinate the scheduling of intervention with customers and internal resolver groups ensuring the highest level of customer service and communications are maintained to resolve the fault and incident within the prescribed SLA
- Proactively detect problems related to service and infrastructure operations and delivery services, conduct diagnostics and provide service request ownership to ensure resolution of customer problems
- Use the appropriate tools and equipment to perform the installation, intervention, and repairs in accordance with the guidelines and instructions where provided
- Carry out preventive and proactive maintenance and monitoring of systems and services in accordance with agreed schedules and customer expectations
- Escalating detected system bugs to next level support entity, following the work flow
- Providing key user & technical support staff trainings
- Preparing and submitting periodic operational and performance reports for the customer
- Preparing technical documentation such as solution descriptions, high or low level designs, technical BoQs and priced BoQs
- Participates in special projects as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications or equivalent)
- Minimum three years of experience in information technologies
- Experience in Microsoft server operating systems; configuration, implementation and administration
- Experience in Linux server/client operating systems; configuration, implementation and administration
- Experience in Microsoft SQL server and Transact-SQL; configuration, implementation and administration
- Knowledge on VLAN separated networks; Microsoft and Linux based DHCP servers
- Experienced in a 7X24 SLA environment
- Basic project management skills.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot complex multi-vendor system integration issues
- Design, implementation and/or system administration experience on aviation systems is an asset, such as CUTE /CUPPS, CUSS, BRS, FIDS, AODB, RMS, ESB
- Working knowledge of airport computing environment is an asset.
- Drive to keep up-to-date on latest technical trends
- Aptitude for cooperation and flexibility in a rapidly changing environment and the ability to respond immediately to often changing business priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation and technical writing); analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Excellent command of English is a must
- No restriction for travelling abroad
