QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Koç University Information Technologies Directorate will be hiring an IT Governance Specialist with the below mentioned qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields
- High commitment to excellence, collaboration, team achievement, and effective communication
- Ability to gather, organize, and analyze data in the completion of diverse functional assignments
- Ability to work in dynamic environment with competing priorities, a team player comfortable with working across other groups and collaborating with customers, stakeholders, technologists, and management

- Excellent understanding of IT purchasing and finance concepts, practices, and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to redline a contract, change order, and/or statement of work
- Demonstrated ability to manage outsourced service providers in a managed service environment
- Excellent skills in Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and other productivity tools
- Outstanding attention to details
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Turkish

JOB DESCRIPTION
IT Governance
- Support the IT Governance Manager the ensuring proper monitoring framework for IT processes, strategic operations, and services
- Manage the IT Service catalogue through the ITSM system and keep service offerings up to date
- Facilitate the assessing process of the main KPI’s of processes, strategic operations, and services with IT owners and report the results to the IT governance manager and CIO periodically
- Manage the IT process and policy documentation through MS SharePoint and Jira confluence
- Prepare the IT consolidated status and progress report for YÖK, Board of Trustees, and other Government institutions
- Support the IT Governance Manager for driving IT departments’ performance and proper management of IT initiatives/services through the use of tools, facts/data, reports, dashboards, etc.
Asset
- Performs daily and long-term operation management of hardware and software assets
- Maintains all software licenses and subscriptions, ensures contractual compliance, performs license reconciliation, true-up processes, and all internal and external software licensing audits
- Monitors software licenses, agreements, entitlements, and inventory to ensure software compliance
- Plans the demand, and procures the software licenses
- Maintains the web pages that includes end-user software documentation and download links
Vendor, Sourcing and Contracts
- Acts as a general point-of-contact for Procurement topics for local stakeholders
- Creates RFP documentation templates
- Interprets contractual language on behalf of stakeholders
- Maintains all contract documentation and initiates renewals
Budget
- Acts as a general point-of-contact for Finance Department
- Develops monthly spending and variance analysis reports
- Creates the annual operational budget in coordination with the IT Leadership
- Perform other reporting, coordination related duties on IT Governance as needed
