We are looking for a Procurement Category Supervisor (Automotive) to take part in Procurement Departments located in Tuzla/İstanbul. The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferable Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering or relevant)
- Minimum 6 years of experience in the field of procurement
- Analytical thinking and proven ability to solve problems with sustainable results
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong communication skills and a good team player
- No restrictions for domestic and international travels
Job Description
- Responsible for sourcing activities of responsible categories that are managed at global level through his/her category expertise
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing projects with related business parties and develop Project Management skills
- Develop common purchasing opportunities across the group in a way that creates cost and quality advantages
- Deliver high quality sourcing activities on a day-to-day basis according to defined process flows, procedures, respecting quality, quantity and timing
- Execute the tasks of strategic sourcing by timely completion in the light of strategic category management principles globally
- Conduct researches for alternative materials and suppliers for related categories and benchmarking regarding costs, supplier performance and risk management
- Interact with other related Procurement units mainly CoE regarding procurement development, supplier and risk management, contract management, supplier life cycle management and analytical reporting related activities
- Interact with Requestors/Suppliers/Third Parties/Regional Sourcing/SSC based on the related requests and required tasks to be executed at regional level
- Monitor related reports & KPIs that are under responsibility and take corrective actions proactively for unachieved goals
- Develop and execute new VA/VE activity with Requestors/Suppliers/Third Parties
