QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Perfetti Van Melle, one of the largest multinational companies in the confectionary market, owner of leading local and global brands like Vivident, Mentos, Chupa Chups or Big Babol would like to employ Purchasing Specialist.
Purchasing Specialist will work on Supply Chain Department and will be reporting to procurement supervisor.
Responsibilities
· Drives and delivers for local spend categories
· Sourcing execution of local direct material requirements
· Executes all procurement for local spend categories
· Ensures alignment and approval from relevant stakeholders as required
· Monitoring of supplier performance against agreed contract terms
· Handles operational interaction with local suppliers to ensure adherence to agreed contract
· Manages day-to-day communication with suppliers
· Provides expertise and support for global and global w/ regional input for selected direct spend categories (Raw/Pack Materials)
· Supports Global and Regional Category Managers with sourcing execution by providing relevant local input on requirements and insights on local market conditions
· Responsible for all selected direct spend categories (Raw/Pack Materials)
· Prepares local contract enablement, performs local contract administration and implements new agreements locally (incl. master data management)
· Handles routine commercial matters & supports day-to-day operational issue resolution
· Coordinates with relevant business functions to handle goods receipts / blocked invoices / PO-related issues with suppliers to achieve resolution
· Conducts spot buy purchases
· Fulfilling the requirements of the position which effect the performance of the management systems and its activity in keeping with the Quality and Food Safety Policy.
Qualifications required for this position are as follows;
· Bachelor’s Degree (preferably from an engineering department),
· min. 2 years experience of direct material category (preferably FMCG sector)
· Preferably packaging material spot experience
· Good command of written and verbal English,
· Good command of MS Office (SAP knowledge is an asset),
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
· Strong analytical & reporting skills,
· No military obligation for male candidates,
· Residing in Istanbul European side
