QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

The Position:

This position is responsible for all marketing, communication, pricing and sales development activities of DHL Express in Turkey and reporting to the CEO.


· Devise and implement the strategies that are aligned to the overall country strategies to ensure that the general communication policy is defined, maintained and developed both internally and externally

· Responsible for the internal and external marketing activities which are in line with the regional and global strategies and guidelines

· Leads the overall marketing and corporate communications activities in the country including below and above the line marketing events, public relations, social media and digitalization initiatives

· Plan, execute and oversee the marketing strategy for the organization and for new and existing products or services

· Develop a local brand strategy

· Set and administer an annual marketing budget and also manage and measure marketing campaign costs

· Create and manage a calendar of events such as webinars, conferences and thought leadership contributions

· Continually conduct market research studies, review consumer trends and the activities of the competitors, adjust the marketing plan if necessary

· Report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using pre-determined KPIs

· Identify new business opportunities

· Negotiate and coordinate with media agencies and secure agreements on the production of promotional materials

· Lead internal marketing activities in order to drive employee engagement

· Ensure that pricing within the country is professionally managed and is coordinated with country and regional strategies to meet the company’s profit and growth objectives

· Responsible for the smooth transition to the regional/global pricing initiatives

· Responsible to contribute to the achievement of planned growth and profitability for the country by developing the sales expertise in each sales unit in line with global sales policy (GSP)

· Making the sales organization more efficient and effective through organizing coaching programs for the front-line sales teams for the tools and processes (Global Sales CRM Tool - COMET)

· Responsible for the effective functional trainings and onboarding of the sales new joiners

· Guide the day-to-day activities of the team

The Person:

· University degree

· Excellent command of English; both in written and verbal

· Minimum 5 years of Commercial background and management experience

· Very good communication skills and strong interpersonal relationships

· Change management mentality

· Very good analytical skills

· Business acumen to shape the department’s strategy in line with the company priorities and strategy

· Strong leadership abilities

· Proven track record of demonstrating role model competencies for the team

· Willingness to work under challenging circumstances and environment

· Solid professional attitude
