QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A degree in Business Administration, Economics or Engineering from a top tier university,
  • MBA degree from a top tier business school is an asset,
  • 10 years’ experience in business development, product development, product marketing or strategy & business development function of a reputable company
  • Technology and/or Telecommunications experience is an asset
  • Experience using strategy frameworks and familiarity with typical external sources of industry, market, customer, competitive information
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Good command of MS Office Applications
  • Superior problem solving and creative thinking skills, demonstrating acumen for thinking on both a macro and micro level
  • Proven experience assessing and evaluating growth opportunities
  • Extensive analytical and research skills, including ability to independently build business case models/P&Ls, conduct market analysis, regression analysis and other data, financial analysis
  • High level of energy & pro-active “can do” attitude
  • Strong skills in negotiation, communication, relationship management and teamwork
  • Innovative, open to development and improvement
  • Business, solution, result oriented
  • Ability to do end-to-end business cases
  • Willing to international travels

You will be expected to:

  • Conduct internal and external analyses and assessment of a variety of markets, products & services, industries, competitive landscape, etc. to identify new growth opportunities in alignment with company’s strategic priorities,
  • Develop business cases that support strategic growth initiatives including cost/benefit/ROI models
  • Monitor the business environment through various strategic analysis techniques including scenario planning in identifying new business development opportunities - both through organic and inorganic means,
  • Conduct preliminary evaluation of potential merger and acquisition opportunities, present recommendations to senior management on investment targets,
  • Prepare detailed business plans and feasibility studies for new growth initiatives,
  • Liaise with relevant departments and coordinates working teams and advisors to enable effective project management,
  • Support in advisement to top executives on potential considerations both from the strategic and financial angles during projects Partner with product and operations in developing functional strategies including new product pricing development, competitive pricing analysis, and operational strategies
  • Analyze and interpret market research and intelligence for competitive and growth opportunities, and make strategic recommendations
  • Support corporate strategy and planning annual cycles, including planning/governance processes across business units


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end new product development (feasibility, vendor identification, proof-of concept, product material preparation, technology and sales training and first year customer acquisition together with sales)
  • Lead new business opportunity and identify and manage new strategic partnership alliance to maximize profitability as well as strengthen its position in the Marketplace.
  • Jointly with Business Planning & Analysis, work with (where applicable) Market Development, Commercial Units, Technology and Finance to lead commercial projects (e.g., new product road maps, expansion strategies and other projects) involving multiple parties.
  • Engage in new business development activities and ensure a profitable and impactful pipeline by geography/product portfolio and conduct benchmarking studies to ensure TTI is keeping a breast of new developments in the field.
