QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Arup is one of the world top engineering and consultancy firms. We are seeking a Transportation Engineer for our İstanbul Office to strengthen our Infrastructure Team with projects both local and international.
Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from reputable universities
A successful candidate should have:
· Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from reputable universities
· At least 5 years of job experience preferably including infrastructures, transportation, engineering (preferably metro/railway, high speed train, highway, roadway)
· Experience in design and delivery of small and large-scale infrastructure projects,
· Excellent command of English both written and verbal, able to write reports
· Working experience in a multinational English-speaking environment
· Ability to interface and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, effective communication skills
· Team player, result-oriented with strong planning and organization skills, motivated, initiative, interested in technical topics
· Ability to develop and maintain a good relationship with the clients, willing to grow in an international environment
· Familiarity to work with BIM is preferable.
· Familiarity to work with Turkish and relevant international standards
· Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines.
· Proficient in MS Office and CAD Applications, Autocad/Microstation/Autocad Civil3D/ OpenRail/ OpenRoads/ Rail Track SS2&SS4
· No travel restrictions (national & international),.
· For male candidates’ military service must be completed.
· Driving license is preferable.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The transportation group works with public and private clients in a variety of transportation projects including metro, rail, highway, masterplan. He/she will be responsible for design works, assisting project manager for transport projects (metro, tram, railway, high speed train, highway, roadway, masterplan etc.)
The successful candidate will be able to work under the supervision of senior leaders and will be responsible for the following:
· Support transportation projects’ project management process
· Support transportation projects’ design process
· To assist Project/Design manager for the supervision of projects and to develop management skills.
· To identify and understand client’s needs according to the technical specifications provided,
· Check the conformity of the studies to the contracts and to the preliminary BOQs,
Prepare drawings, reports, calculations, BOQs, and specifications
· Perform design
· Support other groups for their projects for the following subjects: masterplans, roads, carparks, traffic circulation studies, intersections
· To maintain positive relations based on trust with internal and external clients,
· To maintain technical interaction with all project team members and external consultants to deliver projects on time and to budget with quality output.
· Support transportation group preparing bid documents working on high profile and prestigious projects with tight deadlinesto deliver.
