QUALIFICATIONS
- BSc, MSc or higher degree in Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mining or related industry, at least 3 years in TSF operations
- Excellent command of both written & spoken English
- Experience in embankment design and quality control favored
- Preferably understanding of civil and geotechnical concepts.
- Ability to identify key risks and implement effective management strategies
- A visual leadership style of guiding, mentoring, developing, and empowering team members
- Mature, highly reliable, open-minded, and results-oriented personality
- Advance level of MS Office
JOB DESCRIPTION
- TSF & WTP Sr. Engineer will provide technical and operational guidance and support to the safe management of tailings storage facilities and water treatment plants
- Comply with and sustain occupational health and safety, environment with relevant legislation, regulations, and company requirements
- Reporting to the Process Operations Superintendent, this role will be responsible for both Tailings Storage Facility and Water Treatment Plant operations overall.
- Work closely with the Tailing Facility design Consultants for the operational tailings dam, along with Project Department to ensure that the ongoing construction of the second TSF meets world-class quality standards.
- In cooperation with the processing department, ensure the tailing deposition system is operated within the life of mine depositional requirements.
- Compilation of all required reporting including daily, weekly, and monthly monitoring reports
- Regular monitoring of the performance of any geotechnical structures, observing and reporting on the effectiveness of maintenance of all TSF facilities including Water Treatment Plant.
- Verifying that operational freeboard (including safety factors), diversion channels, and access roads are properly maintained and reporting to Process Management any remedial actions required.
- Managing the TSF risk register which includes identifying risks with operations, developing corrective actions to mitigate risk, and monitoring implementation of corrective actions.
- Advise the Operations during budgeting and forecasting, if mid or long-term filling plans need to be revised.
- Following up the TSF Life forecast including bathymetric measurement organizations when required
- Implement a TSF management plan including both operations of both TSF and emergency response
- Management of process operational workforce and organizing the required trainigns.
