Financial Controller

About the Role!
The financial controller is responsible for planning and coordinating plant budget and business planning activities in alignment with corporate policies
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end closing and prepare monthly financial statements and other operational reports for site
- Review production variances (materials & labor) with management and help drive to the root cause – in particular help collection of scrap data by area.
- Must work across organizational boundaries and all levels of the company to achieve plant, country, or corporate objectives
- Estimate product costs to support quoting activities
- Ensure correct codifications of expenses are in line with company standards.
- Monitors spending on key categories to include maintenance, supplies, and consumables and supports company initiatives to reduce spending.
- Review Monthly KPI data with management; understand trends and help analyze root causes.
- Calculate cost price of new products based on specific sales requests
- Provide financial requirements and follow up the Capex projects
- Ensure costing accurately reflect production operations
About you!
- Degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent
- Over 4 years of experience in financial, operational, and business partnering roles
- Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to respond under pressure
- Experience of working in cross-functional teams within a matrix environment is desirable
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Flexible and open-minded, quick to adapt to changing requirements
- Strong communication and report writing skills - Fluent spoken and written English is required
- Very strong work ethic, resilience in the face of pressure, good team player, ability to meet multiple stretching deadlines
- Strong analytical bias and Microsoft Excel skills
- PowerPoint capability
