We are looking for Executive Pastry Chef for D Maris Bay,


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Certificate of gastronomic education or equivalent (apprenticeship/diploma/BA/Bsc)
  • At least 5 years of experience in the role of patisserie in the international and luxury hotel segment,
  • At least 10 years pastry experience
  • HACCP certificate
  • Banquet experience is preferred
  • Good communication and team management skills
  • English – excellent oral and written skills


JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Expert in Chocolate showpiece & French Pastries
  • Experienced in ice cream production
  • Experienced in menu and concept planning,
  • Designing special treats for guests
  • Knowledgeable of food safety regulations
  • Experienced in team management
  • Ability to work independently, develop under pressure in challenging conditions, and produce proactive and rational solutions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with hotel staff and guests/vendors
  • Ability to effectively identify and delegate tasks
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Always applies a professional, confidential and ethical approach.
  • Operates safely, discreetly and in an organized manner
  • Knowledge of sales, marketing and promotion practices
  • Experienced in Cost, manning, personnel & budget planning
