We are looking for a Corporate Health Safety and Environmental Manager for our company. This position will be based in İstanbul Head Office.

Qualifications and Requirements

· Graduated from University’s Engineering Faculties

· Minimum of 8 - 10 years related safety experience, ideally in civil construction and oil/gas industry

· Holding internationally recognized certificates NEBOSH IGC, OSHA or equivalent certifications

· Good knowledge on ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 Management Systems skills, ISO 45001 internal auditor certificate is essential

· Having international best practices experience

· Fluent reading, writing, and speaking in English

· Ability and willingness to travel globally with minimal advance notice

  • Conduct and lead the incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Have commissioning and operational experience

· Have a flexible approach and the ability to make decisions quickly

· Strong organizational and research skills

· No military obligation for male candidates

· Highly organized, team player, pro-active and result oriented

· High stress tolerance, pro-active, self-motivated, extremely detail-oriented, willing to take responsibility

· Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

· Good experience in applying the standards and evaluation benchmarks of the World Bank Group(World Bank Safeguards, IFC Performance Standards, EHS Guidelines), the EU and the Equator Principles

· Familiar with Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD), Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS), Stakeholder Engagement Plan and Mitigation Hierarchy.

· Develops and maintains cooperation and teamwork while leading a group of people

JOB DESCRIPTION

· Manage and support the development, implementation and maintenance of the Health and Safety elements of the company’s HSE Management System and ensure that the goals and requirements of the Company’s HSE Policy and associated Corporate Procedures are achieved in all activities

· The HSE Manager will communicate and contribute to the development of policies and programs, assists with conducting audits and onsite inspections, and analyze data to provide recommendations for improving processes and programs

· Monitors the effective implementation of appropriate Health, Safety and Environment System procedures and provide for their updating in line with changes in Legislation and Company Directives.

· Track, interpret and evaluate proposed and final safety related legislation/rules and determine impacts and compliance strategies

· Develop audit programs and lead or participate in periodic reviews or audits of operating company compliance with safety and applicable regulatory requirements. Inform and advise management regarding compliance status and issues, potential risks and liabilities, accident/incident trend analyses, future impacts from new laws and rules, recommended actions and risk management strategy

· Promoting safety culture and leading programs to improve the Company's overall safety culture

· Conduct project audits and inspections as per corporate procedures. Preparation od audit reports

· Provide proactive advice and support on Health, Safety and Environmental issues including: guidance and interpretation of policies and standards; monitoring, auditing and updating of procedures
