QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Kale Group founded Kale Pratt & Whitney Uçak Motor San. A.Ş on 2010 after partnering with Pratt & Whitney, which is a division of Raytheon Technologies, one of the leading organizations of the aviation sector. Kale Pratt & Whitney has a total of 16.250 m2 facilities in Aegean Free Zone; the company is one of the leading aviation companies in Turkey and its facilities contain many special processes. The company was founded with a 51% Kale Group and 49% Pratt & Whitney partnership, its main field of activity is the manufacturing of aircraft engine parts and subassembly groups.
We are looking for a ‘Purchasing Engineer’ in accordance with the following specifications.
QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree from Mechanical Engineering departments,
- 3 + year work experience in cutting tool technologies especially in cutting tool manufacturing, machining,
- Strong negotiation and communication skills,
- Analytical thinking and problem solving skills,
- Fluent in English – both verbal and written,
- No military obligation for male candidates.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Evaluating and selecting suppliers, negotiate price and terms conditions for the materials,
- Preparing, processing and following up purchase order until material is on-site due to production plan,
- Managing ongoing relationship with suppliers and ensure that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service,
- Searching alternative suppliers and establishing strategic relationship with suppliers who are aligned with company needs,
- Getting involved in purchasing process improvement, benchmarking and cost effectiveness projects,
- Conducts meetings attend supplier visits regularly,
- Being responsible of achieving departmental business plan and budget targets.
