Job Description
- Creates and presents the business case for new products or programs to support market growth strategies and profitability targets,
- Leads integrated launch programs for products, including product direction, marketing plans and store operations and supply chain requirements,
- Follows-up performance of products, gathers consumer insights and evaluates program effectiveness; identifies actions to improve product performance and integrates findings into future activities and initiatives,
- Manages harmonization of all products and service to Starbucks standards applied all over the world,
- Monitors trends/fashion/orientations took/taking place in Turkey and in the world market; estimates these developments and takes action to sustain and improve the market leader position,
- Research and analyze data and market insights,
- Search for insights into consumer needs and wants,
- Plan and implement long-term development strategies for product categories,
- Design exit strategies for unsuccessful products,
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors,
- Place appropriate orders,
- Ensure product availability,
- Strategize positioning of a product category to maximize its visibility,
- Collaborate with the Marketing, Sales & Operation fiead teams,
- Research competitors and suggest appropriate pricing and promotional activities,
- Work with customers and merchandisers and find new ways of expanding product categories,
- Calculate forecasts for product demand trends,
- Manage and track budget,
- Pricing, developing promotions & campaigns,
- Plans actions to target/achieve targets set for category performances in terms of turnover and units.
Qualifications
- University degree preferably in Engineering, Statistics and/or related fields,
- Previous working experience as category manager for (1-3) years at leading or assisting in development of product concepts at retail or FMCG from conception through implementation,
- Beverage & Drink category management experience is a plus,
- In-depth knowledge of marketing and sales operations and processes,
- Hands on experience with analyzing big data and making forecasts,
- Fluent English knowledge is a must,
- Advanced knowledge of MS office (Excel, PowerPoint).
