Job Description:
Ensuring that supplier development activities are carried out in accordance with the relevant procedures and project requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Plans, organizes, evaluates, and reports supplier development and localization activities in accordance with the quality standards and project requirements,
• Monitors and analyzes supplier performance and applies necessary counter measurements to facilitate improvements if required,
• Works closely with the engineering teams to evaluate and report the project's progress in accordance with the product technical requirements,
• Visits suppliers regularly to assess supplier's performance,
• Identifying suitable subcontractors, evaluating production and quality competencies and managing the approval process,
• Preparation of audit programs of subcontractors in the approved supplier list, execution of audit activities within the scope of the programs; monitoring and managing quality, price and delivery performances,
• Determining the parts to be manufactured by subcontractors, prototype production, first sample production and management of mass production stages, execution of the contract process.
Qualifications:
• Graduated from mechanical or aerospace engineering faculties of universities,
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role in one of the aerospace, defense, automotive and industrial machinery/equipment manufacturing sectors,
• Fluency in English language,
• Subcontractor/contract management experience
• Having knowledge about design, manufacturing or testing techniques of gas turbine engines, aerospace, or defense products,
• Having the competence to examine and evaluate technical data packages (technical drawings, interface control documents, technical specifications),
• Familiarity with product design, manufacturing processes and tools,
• Experienced in costing, financial feasibility analysis,
• Experience in data analysis and tools such as SQL, Excel and Python,
• Having good analysis and presentation skills, proficient in office and project management programs/practices,
• Knowledge of quality standards (ISO9001, AS9100, etc.) and experience in the quality and traceability obligations required by these systems,
• No restrictions on domestic and international travel.
