QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Koç University Office of the President will be hiring a “Gender Equality Coordinator” with the below mentioned qualifications:
- At least Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, or Administrative Sciences fields, PhD is preferred
- Previous experience in related policy planning and implementation is desirable
- Strong knowledge of MS Office applications
- Strong experience in reporting
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Male candidates must have no military obligations
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Preparing the university’s Gender Equality Plan document in coordination with academic and administrative units
- Researching and reporting as regards the Gender Equality Plan (incl. quantitative and qualitative analysis)
- Implementation of the Gender Equality Plan in coordination with academic and administrative units
- Providing advice and support on equality and diversity issues
- Coordinating and conducting training programs
- Producing internal communication material on gender equality
- Developing systems for reporting incidents of the gender-based discrimination
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of anti-discriminatory and sexual harassment prevention frameworks (both domestic and global ones)
- Translating the gender equality legislation and international commitments (such as the Global Compact and SDGs) into practice to ensure the University meets the relevant requirements
- Planning for other equality plans as required by the President’s Office
