QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an engineer, a team member with the following specifications for Hexagon Studio providing design and engineering services in Automotive, Marine and Defence industries for local and international platforms.

• Bachelor or Master Degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or equivalent engineering programs

• Preferably at least 2 years of experience, in automotive industry and powertrain field, parts design, implementation and/or prodcution

• Knowledge of 2D Technical Drawing and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and 3D modeling, preferably Catia.

• Proficient in the use of engineering software (such as Catia,...)

Knowledge or experience in powertrain, driveline, cooling and mounting system applications, vehicle performance, fuel economy and energy consumption, vehicle control and dynamics specific to ICEV, HEV, BEV, FCEV…

• Excellent command of written and fluent spoken English

• Knowledge about metal casting and forging processes,

• Proficient in MS Office experience

• Highly motivated and able to adapt to dynamic working pace,

• Good communication skills and eager to teamwork

• High degree of flexibility

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,

• Good Follower, systematic and result oriented

• Strong communication and representation skills

• Having at least a B license and actively able todrive,

Flexible for any domestic and international short / long term travels

• Residing in İstanbul Anatolian side or in Kocaeli


JOB DESCRIPTION

Conducting relevant market research for systems to be designed and determining the competitors’ situations in terms of cost - weight - functionality.

• Detailing and reporting of different concepts in line with relevant market research and vehicle design requirements.

• Designing systems to be selected by working in integration with other relevant teams.

• Selecting and listing system design requirements.

• Creation and follow-up of part designs, system integrations, validation and test plans in line with the selected design requirements.

• Creating relevant supplier information request forms in line with the selected design requirements.

• Sharing the created information or questionnaire forms with the suppliers, receiving offers and following the supplier selection process in integration with the purchasing department, supplying the parts in the prototype production processes.

• Chasing all development activities in the process up to mass production.

• Chasing prototype production and pre-series operations of completed systems.

• Updating and optimizing the designs together with analysis and testing (verification) activities carried out within the scope of design processes.

• Periodic reporting of the work generated throughout the process, creation and development of processes.

• Follow-up of final design technical drawing and 3D design studies.

• Elimination of assembly and line problems may occur during prototype, pre-series production.
