QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Six Senses Kaplankaya presents a mosaic of architecture, history and art, and is within easy reach many famed archaeological sites. There are 141 guestrooms including six suites (75 in the main building and 66 Ridge Villas), all boasting stunning views to the Aegean Sea. Aegean & Mediterranean-inspired fresh, sustainable cuisine interwoven with Turkish elements and flavors is the overarching theme of three dining venues, introducing ‘Eat with Six Senses’ concept by sourcing local and fresh products. The expansive 10,000 square meter Spa, Fitness and Health & Healing Center offers guests and residents a truly integrative approach to optimal wellness. Scope

  • Leads daily operations in all Rooms related departments to include Front Desk, Concierge, Guest Services, Guest Relations, PBX, Housekeeping, Laundry, and manages leadership and staff of those areas accordingly.
  • Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction as well as maximizing the financial perfor-mance of each department.
  • Ensures that established standards and procedures are being followed.
  • Leads Rooms Division in meeting and exceeding both resort and company goals.
  • Serves as a member of the resort’s Executive Committee, and performs all related Executive Committee responsibilities.
  • Opens and closes Front Office, Housekeeping, and Security shifts as needed and ensures completion of assigned shift checklist and other duties.
  • Runs and reviews critical information contained in rooms operations reports.
  • Operates all department equipment as necessary and takes action to address malfunctions.
  • Verifies accuracy of room rates to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Uses budgets, operating statements and payroll progress reports as needed to assist in the management of the Rooms Division.
  • Participates in the management of departmental controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
  • Understands the impact of Rooms Division operations on the overall property financial goals and objec-tives.
  • Interacts with guests and receives feedback on product quality and service levels; effectively responds to and handles guest problems and complaints.
  • Observes service behaviors of employees and provides feedback to individuals; continuously strives to improve service performance.
  • Leads and participates in department meetings and continually communicates a clear and consistent message regarding the Room Operations goals to produce desired results.
  • Supervises staffing levels to ensure the guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met.
  • Uses all available training tools for employees; supervises on-going training initiatives and conducting training when appropriate.
  • Communicates performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position.

Qualifications

  • BA/BSc in hospitality management or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years managerial similar position; prefer in a luxury hotel setting.
  • Proficient in MS Office and PMS systems.
  • Excellent sense of product and service quality, a passion for excellence and an understanding of the sophisticated needs of the luxury guest.
  • Great attention to details.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills both in English and Turkish.
  • Additional languages are beneficial.
  • Exceptional customer relationship skills, especially with individual high profile guests.
  • Responsive, engaged and interactive with capability of building strong positive team.
  • Visibly proactive with excellent organizational skills, capable of providing focused leadership.
  • Energetic with a positive attitude.
  • Able to converse and resolve guest complaints/issues in a calm and professional manner.
  • Can identify priorities and effectively execute tasks/projects accordingly and in a timely manner.
  • Expert in LQA standards.
  • Hands on and tactful.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, counseling and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage, train and motivate a variety of people.
