QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

- Fully understand and embrace Six Senses company vision and values and its application in all tasks associated with the host s duty
- Adhere to all Six Senses brand standards ensuring successful communication across all levels of the operation
Specific
- Ensure that all menus are constantly updated, paying special attention to seasonal availability
- Ensure that all hosts are constantly trained to effect good portion control and pleasing presentation of dishes
- Ensure that sufficient stocks of all materials are being kept and stored under the correct conditions
- Ensure that all statutory hygiene requirements are diligently followed
- Ensure that maintenance problems are promptly reported
- Ensure that all documents are passed to management immediately for processing
- Assist with regular stock takes as and when required.
Qualifications
- Diploma of college or university completion and achievements of F&B/ Hotel Management
- Any courses relating to food preparation or the culinary arts
Work Experience
- Five years or more of kitchen experience, Kitchen experience is essential
Technical Skills
- Operations of sections, hotel policies regarding Food and Beverage operations
- Understanding of different textures, ingredients and tastes
- Familiar with local produce and the serving of a variety of dishes
- Menu development, engineering and structure
- Familiar with food and hygiene codes, policies and procedures
- Sustainable, market exploitation, food cost controlling knowledge and knowledge of kitchen equipment
- Very good command over written and spoken English
- Excellent communicator with the ability to multitask
