We are looking for an Supply Chain Strategy and Business Planning Specialist to take part in Şişecam Headquarters – Supply Chain Strategy and Business Planning Department. The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent (Master's degree in related areas would be an asset)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Strategy, Project Management, Commodity Sales/Procurement
  • Deep understanding of global commodity markets
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to do Market and competitor research and report to top management
  • Ability to understand, adapt and implement new supply chain technologies in order to increase agility, visibility and excellence throughout the Supply Chain
  • Proactive and comfortable with a high sense of responsibility and strong attention to detail
  • High learning agility to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as autonomously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (knowledge of programming languages would be an asset)
  • No restrictions for domestic and international travels

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Complete strategic planning, performance and risk management activities in line with predefined supply chain management principles
  • Develop and Align the supply chain vision and strategic priorities through global trends, priorities and best practices
  • Identify supply chain priorities and explore good practices in collaboration with supply chain units
  • Analyze potential risks related to operations and developing strategies in response to risk assessments
  • Determine supply chain policies for the activities in the relevant scope, to guide the supply chain operation units that analyze and optimize the supply chain processes in order to ensure that the supply chain processes are target-oriented and effective
  • Contribute to the digitization of supply chain units using supporting digital systems (data models, data transparency solutions, big data analytics, etc.)
  • Follow and seek advice from cross-functional teams, including IT, technology providers, relevant subject matter experts, for supply chain improvement initiatives
  • Work with supply chain teams to develop and improve supply chain key performance indicators in a results-driven way and ensure key performance indicators are tailored
  • Provide supply chain input to the corporate budget review by collecting and consolidating financial input from supply chain functions, and coordinating and monitoring process review on behalf of the supply chain
  • Preparation of presentations and reports to communicate supply chain operations to executive committee and board of directors and to communicate strategy of supply chain within the organization
