QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related fields,
- Minimum 5 years of experience at Import & Export Customs Operations and Supervisory/Management experience,
- Good knowledge of customs legislation,
- Customs brokerage license will be an asset,
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English,
- Excellent command of MS-Office tools,
Job Description:
- Manage Customs department all daily activities and lead audit processes in accordance with related guidelines, regulation and company policy in all areas of the business unit,
- Develop, implement, maintain procedures and seek continuous improvements for the department,
- Provide guidance on Customs laws and regulations to internal, external steakholders,
- Ensure accurate and timely service, including financial controls to avoid penalties,
- Management of Customs Services and team’s performance using key performance indicators,
- Take active part in the development of the customs operations IT landscape,
- Maintain visibility and control of operating and work flow systems for proper use, workload management, process flow and timely activities,
- Identify strengths and weaknesses of the department and work to improve through training and guidance,
- Work closely with Supply Chain team and peer-managers to seek mutual benefiting process improvements to drive productivity and implement best practices.
